NY Retailers fight the Governor's plan to Sell Wine in Grocery Stores

January 29, 2009

NY retailers are up in arms about the Governors proposal to make it legal to sell wine in grocery stores throughout the state. This issue was covered in the February issue of the Beverage Media here:http://www.bevnetwork.com/pdf/Feb09NyMetro_inside.pdf.

To help raise consumer awareness about the risks associated with this proposal The Retailers Alliance, Metro Package Store Association and the New York State Liquor Store Association have launched a Coalition to Save the Last Store on Main Street. There is a website for this campaign here:http://www.lastmainstreetstore.com/.

We have put together this simple image link for stores that want to promote this campaign on their website. Please reply that you are on board with this campaign and we will find a spot to post the link.
